Meet Tony Little: Our 2017 Conference Closing Keynote

Throughout the years, WLSA has received an overwhelming amount of support from friends, colleagues, and fellow educational professionals around the world. One of these long-time supporters is Former Eton College Headmaster, Author, and WLSA Chairman, Tony Little. We are pleased to announce that Tony will be providing, in depth, his expertise, experiences, and advice at the WLSA & CAN Conference this July in Shanghai! Tony will speak in several sessions as well as give the closing keynote speech. Tony will have a book signing for those of you interested in learning more from this extrodinary educator!

Get to know Tony Little

Tony Little was Head Master of Eton College from 2002 – 2015. He was a student himself at Eton College before going on to Cambridge University to read English Literature. He trained as a teacher and worked at Tonbridge and Brentwood Schools before taking up his post as Headmaster of Chigwell School in 1989, a school on the outskirts of London with 650 students aged 7 to 18. In 1996 he became Headmaster of Oakham School, a co-educational boarding and day school in the heart of England with over 1000 students. He has been involved in both co-educational and boys' schools and has experience of schools that are full boarding as well as predominantly for day students. Since September 2015, he has been Chief Academic Officer of GEMS Education, an international schools’ group which educates 140,000 students from 171 countries. He is also the Honorary President of the Boarding Schools Association, the largest boarding schools group in the world.
