My name is Karen, I come from China. I am now an intern at WLSA. At the same time, I am a third-year student at Hanze University Groningen, the Netherlands. My major is International Business. During the three years, I have already learned theoretical knowledge in marketing, management, accounting, supply chain, economic and finance fields. I chose to study international business because I am interested in marketing. I want to know how a company can make its products or services popular through the right strategy. In this job, I will be assisting with marketing, like design promotional materials for the network. I hope to learn how to apply the theoretical knowledge in real business through this internship.
World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) is a non-profit organization works with schools and universities across the world by conference, student exchanges, internships, and staff training, which can help me raise my international business Awareness. Moreover, WLSA has an international office. The colleagues come from all over the world. Working with these lovely and friendly colleagues is a very good experience for me and I believe that my cross-cultural communication skills could be well improved.
I have a lot of hobbies, like music, mathematics, and media. In addition, I like to do some outdoor sports every weekend, such as tennis and jogging. I think doing exercise is a good way to relax, which helps me to keep a healthy state to work or study.
