Welcome To The 2022-3 Cross Cultural Leadership Program
WLSA’s Cross-Cultural Leadership Program aims to widen academic horizons, develop global awareness and foster a universal concern. CCLP offers a unique opportunity for students to learn leadership skills and engage in cross-cultural dialogue with other students across the globe. Students will sharpen essential skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and collaborative working. CCLP seeks to engage students in developing connections and acting on issues that they find of importance. All WLSA Associate schools may participate.
This year CCLP will be led by Owen Moelwyn-Hughes, WLSA’s Director of Global Student affairs, who has considerable experience in staging learning events focused on Global Issues and International Relations. The course will focus on 21st Century Global Challenges such as Sustainability; Conflict and Peace; Power and Order, and Governance. Study days and workshops augment lectures from distinguished subject experts and interactive learning experiences focused on negotiation skills, conflict resolution, critical debates and collaborative problem-solving.
CCLP culminates in a Capstone Conference. In this 2023 this forms part of the 2023 WLSA Global Students Conference in Shanghai. In July 2022 an on-line global students conference was held with the theme of ‘Building Bridges in a Divided World’.
