About the 2020 Faculty Exchange

The 2020 Faculty Exchange will be hosted by WLSA Associate School, The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia from 1 - 14 February 2020. 
The Faculty Exchange is a unique professional development experience open to faculty of WLSA Associate Schools. Participants will experience American school life through teaching, consulting and supporting classes as well as excursions around Atlanta and neighboring areas. 
The registration deadline for the 2020 Faculty Exchange was November 15 2019.

Program Goals

FOSTER CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION, IDEA SHARING AND UNDERSTANDING
PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO VISITING FACULTY THROUGH EXPOSURE TO DIFFERENT TEACHING STYLES
SHOWCASE AMERICAN CULTURE THROUGH EXCURSIONS TO LOCAL LANDMARKS

Is Faculty Exchange for you?

 

We accept applications from educators and faculty members from WLSA Associate Schools around the world. The Lovett School will accept 8 secondary school teachers, college counselors, development officers or administrators to take part in an inspiring immersion program during which you will have the opportunity to learn from your peers in the field.

 

Requirements

  • Independent and willing to take initiative
  • Highly proficient or fluent in English
  • Eager to take advantage of a full range of learning opportunities available through this program

 

Cost

The program is free of charge and participants are offered room and board with local host families. Participants are expected to cover the cost of their flights, travel insurance, any necessary visas and any spending off-campus including meals. A discretionary amount of approximately 50 USD/day of spending money is recommended.
